Admission to Junior Choir
Prospective Choristers need not be fully-trained, nor play any musical instruments; we are simply looking for enthusiasm about singing and music, as well as a willingness to learn and develop skills that children will have for the rest of their lives. Choristers must be aged between 8 and 16, with both boys and girls welcome.
Admission to the Junior Choir at St Mary Magdalene can be done at any time of the year. New choristers are on probation for the first 12 months whilst they get used to singing with their peers and the adult choir. During this time, the Probationers participate in services along with the rest of the Junior Choir, as well as working through the RSCM Voice for Life levels. Upon completion of 12 months in the choir, Probationers become full Junior Choir Choristers, obtaining their white surplice.
If you would like to get involved please get in touch with the Director of Music for more information.
For further information, please refer to either the Choristers page in the About section, or get in touch with the Director of Music, Alexander Knight (firstname.lastname@example.org) who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
